Let me tell you about Jen.
She is beautiful and poised, a would be dancer and a goof, a great producer, a sometimes model, and a constant actress.
I am lucky enough to call her a friend.
Now. Let me tell you about this photoshoot and you’ll start to understand why I’m so lucky to have Jen.
There was a fashion photography contest and I needed a model. When you need a model, you call Jen.
We talked about shooting at Coney Island.
For me, Coney Island means winning stuffed animals and riding ferris wheels- activities that are about three times cuter when photographing a couple. Before you knew it there were three guys slated to be Jen’s ‘dates’ and then, suddenly her ‘fiances.’
The guys were amazing! Drew got up at 6am and lent us his apartment to get ready before hitting the streets of the financial district.
Jordan was super sweet but didn’t get enough time in front of the camera. Luckily, he got to join us for brunch.
And then, after four or five drinks with brunch…
Colin.
For the life of us we couldn’t find a boy for Coney Island. Finally we decided all we needed was each other- and Jen’s beautiful teal dress.
Incredible things ensued.
So what did I learn from this shoot?
One: I do not do fashion but I do do people.
Two: I love taking pictures of couples and while boys are great…
There’s nothing like a girl.
And Jen (two days, four long train rides, six hours of shooting, and three boys later) is theĀ epitome.

I love these! Thanks for letting me be a part of the shoot!
Thank you for being part of the shoot! I’m glad you like them!
I know she is mine, but WOW and such innovative shots!!!!! Jen’s Mom
Thanks Donna! Such a huge compliment! And a lot of the credit goes to your beautiful daughter…
